In November 2010 Enable Care opened their first purpose built home for residents with complex medical and physical needs following their acquired brain injury and on going cognitive communicative or behavioural needs who need slower stream rehabilitation.

The main design objective was for the creation of two eight bed units in a domestic rather than institutional setting in which its residents can be proud of where they live. This has been achieved by the creation of a warm, friendly, domestic setting for 16 residents with each floor fully autonomous.

On the first floor, eight beds are dedicated for people with on-going complex medical and physical needs following their acquired brain injury.  On the ground floor, eight self-contained apartment rooms are intended for people with on going cognitive communicative or behavioural needs who need slower stream rehabilitation.

The availability of choice is a running theme throughout the home and rooms are multifunctional and adaptable to our residents’ requirements and needs. Quiet lounges can be used for private dining, for parties or as the name suggests for a moment of quiet reflection.
