I joined DWA Architects, Warrington in July 2004 and became an Associate Director in January 2005 and then a Director in February 2006. I am a Registered Architect (ARB) and a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) with over 10 years experience in the public and private sector. Before joining DWA I worked for DGP International in Manchester, one of the UK's largest independent multi-disciplinary consultancies. As a Project Architect I was responsible for major commissions with clients such as BP, Shell, United Utilities, Conoco, Phillips, Railtrack and Astra. Involved in many building types the largest commissions were control buildings and head quarter offices. The types of clients lead me to administer many forms of procurement, the most enlightening was the partnering contract we undertook with BP and Kajima building a £4M, 2600m sq control room in 125 days. Prior to DGP International I worked at Liverpool City Council and 2 major commissions, proposed Liverpool Magistrates Court and the refurbishment to the Municipal Buildings, a Grade II listed building.
