DWA Architects has extensive experience in acting as designer and procurement advisors to various Voluntary Sector Community Groups on the design, funding and various procurement methods of community based building projects, village halls and church hall projects. The practice has also been involved in design advice for a community based SureStart Project.

In addition, DWA Architects have been actively involved from inception in the site selection, funding application and the design of a 14,000 sq ft North Yorkshire project for the relocation of regional Community Groups into a publicly accessible centrally located Community House Project. The building houses a community café and publicly accessible internet facilities, together with office bases for the Citizens Advice Bureau, various Community Voluntary Groups and Association of Voluntary Services. The building aims to produce a publicly accessible ‘Regional Advice Centre' dealing with community and individual social concerns.

The Practice is also appointed to undertake during 2006, various Feasibility Studies and site selection for Community Groups located both in North and South Yorkshire, for large scale community centres, local village hall projects and community based children's activity play areas.
