Conservation

Many buildings throughout the UK are either Listed or sited within Conservation areas, their uses, however, are varied and often they have to be adopted for change of use or updated for operational or commercial reasons.

DWA Architects have gained experience in conserving most styles of building dating from the 16 th Century to the 20 th Century. Their uses have included public houses, hotels, offices, retail, care homes, private houses and apartments.

Conservation projects are all special and the challenges encountered are particular to that project. Successful projects require a lot of investigation and research and DWA Architects have repeatedly demonstrated that they can then use this knowledge to create a well planned and thought out design, gain the full backing of the conservation groups and development control, and oversee the building works to ensure that the budget is safe guarded.
