Leisure / Recreation

DWA Architects have been designing leisure facilities, including leisure pools, exercise rooms, saunas, steam rooms and spas since 1988.

DWA's Warrington office has up to date experience in the design of golf clubs, and the York office is experienced in the design of children's outdoor play areas.

DWA Architects have been working with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds since 1996 and have worked with them regularly for the past ten years, designing and overseeing the construction of several Visitor and Education Centres.

The Centre at Ryemeads was designed to provide impact and stand out amongst its surroundings. Being a building of leisure and recreation the design is fun and exciting and clearly guides visitors to its facilities.

The Centre at Fairburn Ings was designed to be low cost and represents extremely good value for money, also providing low maintenance and fitting into its environment in an unobtrusive way.

The Old Moor Centre at Barnsley included the conversion of redundant farm buildings and this successful scheme was recognised with a Design Award.
