I am a Director of DWA and an Architect with over 25 years experience in the private sector. Before joining DWA (then Finch Ward Associates) in 1986 I worked for ADP for whom I was their Chief Architect where I was responsible for a major Hotel refurbishment and a leisure attraction. Prior to that I worked for 4 years for a private practice in Bradford where I specialised in Hospital work.

At DWA I have been involved with many building types including Care Homes, Children's Day Nurseries, Hotels, Housing, Industrial, Offices, Public Houses and Visitor Centres. I have also gained considerable experience of working on the refurbishment, conservation and restoration of listed buildings. Throughout my career at DWA I have worked on in excess of 50 Care Home Developments from undertaking initial site feasibilities through to completion of projects including new builds, extensions, refurbishment and conversions. It is, probably, fair to say that I am a specialist in this field. I also write a monthly column in "This Caring Business".
